Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable that helps to gradually replace and restore collagen in areas that have lost volume. Because Sculptra® is stimulating your own bodies collagen production, results can last up to two years. Sculptra® is injected similarly to natural hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, but results develop gradually over time. On average, 3 treatments are usually recommended spaced 1 month apart. This allows your new collagen to build upon itself, restoring lost volume gradually resulting in a very natural appearance. How It Works
Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biostimulatory ingredient that is gradually absorbed by the body. Once injected into the deep dermis, PLLA stimulates your body’s natural collagen production, rebuilding internal structure and restoring long-lasting volume. As collagen regenerates, skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more radiant—often referred to as the “Sculptra Glow.”

Aftercare
Following Sculptra® treatment, mild swelling, redness, or tenderness may occur and typically resolves within a few days. Patients are instructed to follow the “5-5-5 rule”: massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days to help ensure even distribution. Strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat should be avoided for 24–48 hours. Most patients resume normal activities immediately.
Results
Results appear gradually as collagen production increases. Early improvements may be noticed within several weeks, with full results developing over 3–6 months as new collagen thickens and strengthens the skin. Sculptra® results can last up to two years, and maintenance treatments may be recommended based on individual goals and collagen loss.
