New At Harpe Laser + Wellness – Novathread Lift Procedure

Do you ever look at yourself in the mirror and find yourself gently pulling your face up or back to see a younger you? If so, you may be a candidate for the Novathread lift, also known as the “lunchtime face lift”.

The Novathread lift procedure is a simple and effective procedure designed to tighten loose skin and sculpting the cheeks, neck and or jawline without surgery. The procedure takes less than 30 minutes. There is no bruising or swelling following the threading procedure and you, the patient, can go right back to work.

When we are in our 20s and 30s, the face has a lovely “V” shape which changes as our facial fat pads diminish and our skin thins.  As the aging process progresses, our face shape changes from a V pattern to a more square pattern and eventually to an inverted V shape.

Thinning skin can become sagging skin, particularly in the lower face as time progresses. We can now lift that sagging skin without a surgical face lift using Novathreads.

Novathreads are made of Polydioxanone (PDO). PDO sutures have been used in Cardiac Surgery for many years so we know that they are both reliable and well tolerated.

Before performing the Novathread lift, Dr. Volatile will carefully determine with the individual patient the most important facial vectors to be lifted with the PDO threads. To perform the Novathread lift, sutures are threaded underneath the skin on a preloaded cannula. Tiny “barbs” on the threads attach to the undersurface of the skin securing the sutures which have been placed along the vectors in which the skin needs lifting. The introductory cannula is then removed leaving the sutures in place. The threads are tightened and secured providing a strong but gentle lift.
